(b. 1 August 1960, Rome).
Italian composer of mostly stage, orchestral, chamber, choral, and vocal works that have been performed in the Americas, Asia and Europe; he is also active as a pianist.
Mr. De Rossi Re studied composition with Mauro Bortolotti at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome.
As a pianist, he often participates in experimental projects and improvisations.
He is also active in other positions. He has been a member of the artistic committee of the ensemble Nuova Consonanza in Rome since 1987.
He teaches elements of composition for music teachers at the Conservatorio Giovanni Battista Pergolesi in Fermo and earlier taught educational techniques in composition and improvisation at the Scuola di Specializzazione all'Insegnamento Secondario in Rome.
In addition to the works listed below, Mr. De Rossi Re has composed many scores for films and stage productions.
