Adil Zamani

(b. 5 May 1960, Almaty).

Turkish composer, born in Kazakhstan, of chamber works that have been performed in Europe; he is also active as a guitarist.

Mr. Zamani began studies in piano in Almaty at age seven and later studied guitar privately with various teachers in Turkey, but is primarily self-taught as both a composer and guitarist. He graduated from the I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University in 1986.

As a guitarist, he has performed in Europe.

He taught as a senior instructor in guitar at the Kemal Eroğlu School of Music in Ankara from 1987–92 and has taught as a professor of pulmonary medicine at Selçuk Üniversitesi in Konya since 2002.
